What’s New in Acne Scar Treatment

What’s New in Acne Scar Treatment

What’s New in Acne Scar Treatment? Acne scares are often tough to treat and the downtime can be a drag but a recently developed technology combining microneedling and radiofrequency energy is making it easier for patients to achieve good results. With this new device, fewer treatments are needed than traditional microneedling and the downtime is much less than treatments with ablative lasers or mechanical dermabrasion. It even allows for treatment of all skin types.

At Lexington Dermatology & Laser Center, we are now offering this new technology to our patients with the state of the art, PiXel8- RF System. The treatments require only a topical numbing cream and most treatments can be completed in less than 30 minutes. There is some redness to the skin which is usually gone in 3 or 4 days and make up can be worn after 24 hours. Three treatments are recommended but improvements are usually seen with each treatment. It can be used for wrinkles, skin tightening and other types of scars.

Call our office at 859.226.0206 for more information or to schedule your appointment and take advantage of our special pricing for the PiXel8-RF.
